The Donald Trump government has introduced aggressive immigration reforms over the past year — including a hefty $100,000 fee for new H-1 B visa applications. Republican leaders have also championed immigration bans in varying formats with an aim to put ‘American workers first’. The POTUS however appeared to have a shocking change of heart on Wednesday as he admitted during an interview that America “does not have enough talent”. Freeze it until we achieve certain objectives–reforming chain migration, ending H-1B visas, getting birthright citizenship dealt with, and vetting people for their adherence to Sharia law,” Chip Roy told The Benny Show.

The Texas lawmaker argued that the US faces what he described as a “massive Islamism problem” and warned of what he sees as a growing threat from communities unwilling to integrate into American society. The prominent Trump ally has been a vocal critic of American immigration policies — calling repeatedly for tighter border controls and visa restrictions.
