Amid intensified scrutiny into US Vice-President JD Vance‘s marital life, a recent viral photo claimed that Vance purportedly yelled at his wife Usha in a restaurant.
The unverified photo was originally shared a Facebook user named Thomas Clay Jr, who captioned it, “Looks like things are not so good in Republicanistan.”

Vance responds: ‘I always wear an undershirt when…’
The image, which soon went viral on X, quickly caught the Vice-President attention, who took no time to dispel any speculations. He re-shared the image on X and wrote: “I always wear an undershirt when I go out in public to have a fight loudly with my wife.”
Notably, the undated and unverified photo appeared to show Vance scowling in a white T-shirt, sitting in a restaurant booth across from his wife of 10 years, her head hanging and her hand resting on her face.
Is the photo legitimate?
Several commenters speculated that the image may be AI-generated. Vance, however, did not clarify if the image was legitimate or altered.
Is Vance facing problems with Usha?
Speculations over the second couple’s marital ties have arisen over a number of recent events, including Vance’s recent jibe against ‘mass migration’, which netizens flagged due to Usha’s Indian background, and his views on Usha’s faith. Vance had earlier stated his wish for his Hindu wife to embrace Christianity in the future, clarifying that he wouldn’t force her to convert.
Amid his remarks, Vance’s hug with late conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s wife Erika during a memorial event held in remembrance of in October also sparked buzz online.
Several netizens romantically linked the two, despite Vance being married to Usha due to Erika’s head tilt and hand placement over Vance’s head, which many called “passionate”.
Shortly after, Usha was also spotted without her wedding ring in a public appearance alongside First Lady Melania Trump. Netizens claimed she was “quiet quitting” her husband but Usha’s team was quick to dismiss the claims.
