Black Friday, celebrated after Thanksgiving in the US, traditionally marks the start of the Christmas shopping season with major retailers offering significant discounts and extended store hours.
It is the busiest shopping day of the year, with many stores opening as early as midnight or even on Thanksgiving Day itself.
This year, Thanksgiving will fall on November 27 and Black Friday on November 28.

When will Charlotte malls open on Black Friday?
Prominent shopping centres like SouthPark Mall, Concord Mills, Northlake Mall, and Charlotte Premium Outlets have announced their schedules to accommodate eager bargain hunters.
SouthPark Mall will kick off its Black Friday events by opening early at 6 am until 9 pm, according to Charlotte Observer.
Concord Mills is set for a 27-hour stretch beginning at 6 pm on Thanksgiving and operating nonstop until 9 pm on Black Friday, offering an extended shopping window for holiday deals, Simon Property Group stated.
Northlake Mall will also open on Thanksgiving evening from 6 pm to midnight, then reopen at 6 am on Black Friday, closing at 9 pm, it announced in a Facebook post.
Charlotte Premium Outlets will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day, following their extended practice of the last six years, but will open bright and early at 6 am on Black Friday until 9 pm.
Black Friday: When will Charlotte stores open?
In addition to malls, major retailers will adjust their hours to participate in Black Friday.
Bass Pro Shops will be open from 5 am to 9 pm, while Belk will operate from 6 am to 10 pm, with Belk Outlets opening from 8 am to 9 pm Best Buy and Dick’s Sporting Goods will welcome shoppers from 6 am until 10 pm, and Lowe’s will open from 6 am to 9 pm.
