An Australian influencer recently stirred outrage for having jumped over a barricade to aggressively grab American singer-actor Ariana Grande on the red carpet of Wicked: For Good‘s Singapore premiere. He has since been deported from the Asian country following the conclusion of his days-long prison sentence, according to multiple global reports citing the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
The man in question is none other than Johnson Wen, aka ‘Pyjama Man‘ or ‘pyjamamann.’ Merely three hours ago, he again took to his social media to share the viral Hollywood red carpet event, which initially saw Grande walking hand-in-hand with her Wicked co-actors Michelle Yeoh, Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldbum and others. “Ariana Grande thanks for letting me join the Red Carpet,” he captioned the post.
Australian influencer Wen Johnson’s streak of intrusion continued at Wicked for Good premiere
The 26-year-old Australian man was sentenced to nine days in prison after he controversially took over headlines after rushing Grande and putting his arm around her at the November 13 premiere. Her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately jumped to action as she wrestled him away from the pop star.
“Johnson Wen was deported to Australia on Nov 23, 2025 and has been barred from re-entering Singapore,” an ICA spokesman said, according to Channel News Asia.
After the Aussie influencer was found guilty of being a public nuisance in Singaporean court told the judge that he would “not do it again.” The Wicked: For Good premiere wasn’t the first time he was caught disrupting a high-profile event like this.
Even during his trial, it was found that Wen had tried to execute the troublesome antic at the premiere twice, as per Singaporean media. His second attempt was the one to go infamously viral on social media. Security staff at the scene ultimately pinned him down. Wen even posted the moment on his Instagram Story, saying, “Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You”
Asian news outlets quoted District Judge Christopher Goh describing Wen as “attention seeking.” He also called the act “premeditated” before handing him a prison sentence, while adding the Aussie man has “showed a pattern of behaviour, which suggests that you will do it again.”
Wen Johnson aka Pyjama Man is a serial stage-crasher
In addition to troubling Ariana, the serial stage-crasher has built his social media persona around his disturbing antics. He takes pride in labelling himself as an “invader” on social media and “troll most hated.”
Wen has previously pulled similar stunts ambushing celebrities like The Weeknd, Katy Perry and The Chainsmokers during their concerts. Among other such gate-crashing moments, Wen has even left the sports world in shock quite a few times.
Johnson became the centre of Indian media headlines in 2023, when he breached security and came up to hug Virat Kohli during the ICC Cricket World Cup final between India and Australia. The Ahmedabad Police ultimately registered a case against the ‘Free Palestine’ T-shirt-wearing man for unauthorised entry into Narendra Modi Stadium.
“The accused described himself as a big fan of Virat Kohli and had come to watch the match and being a fan of Kohli, he crossed the railing and went into the ground,” the Ahmedabad Police had said at the time.
Much like the disturbance he caused at the men’s cricket match, the TikTok prankster attempted a similar breach at the FIFA Women’s World Cup that same year.
