Super Bowl match between Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles has been grabbing all the limelight, more so because US President Donald Trump is the first sitting president to attend this match. While Trump is there in person, he was also part of a commercial that was played ahead of the game. The POTUS also shared the commercial on X (formerly Twitter). Watch here:
The advertisement includes visuals of assassinated presidents John F. Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln, alongside footage of the assassination attempt on presidential candidate Trump in July and the failed attempt on former President Ronald Reagan’s life in 1981. Additionally, the ad showcases significant historical moments, such as the moon landing, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the horrific 9/11 attack. Take a look yourself:
According to reports, the US Secret Service has invested $2 million in this Super Bowl Sunday recruitment ad produced by filmmaker Michael Bay. Known for his high-octane films such as ‘Armageddon’, ‘The Rock’, and the ‘Transformers’ series, Bay’s ad debuted on the jumbotron at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome shortly before the championship game, as reported by CNN, citing sources from the NFL and the Secret Service.
The commercial shows two assassination attempts on Trump during his campaign in July 2024. In the first, a sniper shot at his ear, almost hitting his head. The second attempt happened at a golf course, but a Secret Service agent spotted the hidden rifle and fired, scaring off the attacker.
The ad emphasizes the Secret Service’s role in protecting leaders and highlights that the agency is securing the game everyone is watching, as Trump is expected to attend, according to sources.
