The Israeli military has announced the killing of Yassin Abdel Moneim Ezzedine, a senior Hezbollah artillery commander operating in the group’s Litani sector in southern Lebanon. 

According to IDF Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee, Ezzedine was deeply involved in planning attacks on Israeli targets and played a key role in Hezbollah’s efforts to rebuild its artillery capabilities.

Adraee stated that Ezzedine had “advanced numerous shooting plots towards Israel and has been involved in attempts to rebuild Hezbollah’s artillery forces.” Hezbollah has not yet issued a statement regarding the reported killing.

The IDF said that Ezzedine was responsible for multiple rocket attacks on northern Israel during the ongoing conflict, according to The Israel Times.

Adding to that the IDF said, “constituted a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”

Additionally, the Israeli Air Force announced that it has killed Muhammad Ahmed Kharis, a senior Hezbollah operative, in southern Lebanon.

In a statement posted on X, the military said, “The Air Force targeted and eliminated Muhammad Ahmed Kharis, the anti-tank commander at Hezbollah’s Shebaa compound, in the Nabatiya region.”

It further stated that Kharis was responsible for multiple attacks on Israel, including the 2024 anti-tank missile strike on Mount Dov.
