On Tuesday, President Vladimir Putin stressed that Russia will find out who was behind last month’s attack on a concert hall near Moscow, the national capital of the country. The deadly attack led to the killing of at least 144 people.
The country will definitely get to those who ultimately ordered the attack, Putin told a meeting of Interior Ministry officials.
“We paid a very high price, and the entire analysis of the situation must be extremely objective and professional,” reported Reuters.
Islamic State claimed responsibility
For the attack, the Islamic State claimed responsibility. The American officials said they have intelligence showing it was carried out by the network’s Afghan branch, Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K). Russia says it has evidence the assaulters had connections to Ukraine, which Kyiv has rejected and the United States has rejected as nonsense.
Crocus City Hall attack
In Krasnogorsk, at the Crocus City Hall music venue, a terrorist attack was carried out by the Islamic State on 22 March 2024.
At around 20:00 MSK (UTC+3), the attack began, shortly before the Russian band Picnic was scheduled to play a sold-out show at the venue. Russian authorities, on 28 March, claimed that 95 people were also missing.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called the entire episode a “barbaric terrorist act”!
