The wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles have caused widespread devastation, consuming more than 1,000 buildings and displacing thousands. Among the many properties destroyed by the raging flames is a home reportedly belonging to Hollywood actors Leighton Meester and Adam Brody. The fires, which have intensified in recent days, have not spared some of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the city, including the Hollywood Hills, where a new blaze broke out on Wednesday. The wildfires have left a trail of destruction, threatening lives and properties, and forcing residents—including high-profile celebrities—to flee their homes.

Celebrities forced to evacuate

– Over 100,000 residents, including stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Maria Shriver, and others, were forced to evacuate their homes as the wildfires spread through some of Los Angeles’ most affluent and sought-after neighborhoods.

– Jamie Lee Curtis, an Oscar-winning actress, shared on social media that she and her family were safe, but expressed concern for her home and community, describing the situation as “terrifying.” Similarly, Mandy Moore of This Is Us revealed her family had evacuated due to the fire’s proximity, unsure if their home was still standing.

– In Malibu, Paris Hilton’s beachfront mansion, reportedly valued at $8.4 million, was one of the structures destroyed in the fires. Hilton described her heartbreak on social media, as she watched her home burn to the ground live on television, sharing her devastation with her followers.

– Leighton Meester and Adam Brody’s Pacific Palisades home, purchased for $6.5 million in 2019, was also one of the properties damaged by the flames.

One of the largest fires has scorched nearly 12,000 acres in Pacific Palisades, a picturesque area nestled between Santa Monica and Malibu. Known for its celebrity residents, the neighborhood is home to many figures from the film, television, and music industries.

Devastation hits Hollywood’s iconic locations

The destruction also hit familiar landmarks, including Hollywood Boulevard, where the Sunset Fire, although smaller in scale, quickly grew and spread toward areas such as the Dolby Theatre and Griffith Observatory. The fire’s proximity has already led to delays in major events, including the Oscars nominations announcement and the Critics Choice Awards.

LA Wildfires put a hold on production plans

As the fires continued to spread, several media productions were halted, with film permits revoked in Pasadena and surrounding areas. TV shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live and Grey’s Anatomy ceased production, and multiple film premieres were canceled.

Mark Hamill, best known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker, expressed on Instagram that the wildfires were the “most horrific” he’d seen since 1993. He shared his experience evacuating his Malibu home with his wife and dog as fires flanked the Pacific Coast Highway.

The fires continue to burn across the region, leaving devastation in their wake, with many fearing further destruction in the coming days.
