Imran Khan marriage: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has married spiritual guide Bushra Maneka. The information of the marriage was released by his party on Sunday, which ended weeks of speculation about the union. Khan, former Pakistan cricket captain turned politician, married Bushra Bibi aka Pinki Pir in Lahore. His party PTI took to Twitter and posted photos of the marriages and posted congratulatory messages for the newly wedded couple. This is Khan’s third marriage; the first two being Jemima Goldsmith and Reham Khan. Here is all you need to know about the three wives of Imran Khan.
1- Jemima Goldsmith: Jemima Marcelle Goldsmith is a 44-year-old British-Pakistani journalist and campaigner. Born on January 30, 1974, Goldsmith is an associate editor for New Statesman and European editor-at-large for Vanity Fair. Born in London, Goldsmith married Imran Khan on May 16, 1995, in a traditional Islamic ceremony in Paris. A few months before her marriage with the former cricketer, Goldsmith had renounced Christianity and accepted into Islam. After the wedding, she relocated to Lahore, where she learnt Urdu. Imran Khan and Goldsmith had two sons together. However, things did not go well for the couple and on June 22, 2004, the couple had divorced.
2- Reham Khan: Born to Nayyar Ramzan, a Pakistani physician, Reham is a journalist and film producer of British Pakistani descent. Ethnically of Pashtun origin, Reham, 44, is a fluent speaker of four languages. It includes English, Pashto, Urdu and Hindko (a dialect of Punjabi). Reham had first married Ejaz Rehman, her first cousin at the age of 19. However, the couple parted ways eventually. Later on January 6, 2015, Imran Khan married Reham, however, they both split within 10 months on October 30, 2015.
3- Bushra Maneka: Imran Khan marriage with Bushra Maneka took place on February 18, 2018, is in her 40s. Maneka comes from Wattoo clan of which Manekas are sub-clan. This is not Maneka’s first marriage. Earlier, she was married to Khawar Farid Maneka who is a senior customs official in Islamabad.
