Upset by the “misinformation” that spread on social media sites, British singer-songwriter Sir Elton John has decided to close his Twitter account. Responding to his decision, Twitter CEO Elon Musk has urged him to come back soon on the microblogging site, asking whether there was any misinformation that bothered him, ANI reported on Saturday.
“All my life I’ve tried to use music to bring people together. Yet it saddens me to see how misinformation is now being used to divide our world.” “I’ve decided to no longer use Twitter, given their recent change in policy which will allow misinformation to flourish unchecked,” John tweeted while announcing his decision.
In his response, Musk wrote, “I love your music. Hope you come back. Is there any misinformation in particular that you’re concerned about?”
