Meanwhile King Charles and Queen Camilla will give the US president a bespoke, hand-bound leather volume crafted by the Royal Bindery at Windsor Castle to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Trump will be given the Union Flag that was flying over Buckingham Palace when he was inaugurated for his second term on January 20. They will present the FLOTUS with a silver and enamel bowl and a personalized Anya Hindmarch handbag. The royals will also give the Trumps a silver photo frame engraved with the King and Queen’s joint cypher.

“We’re going to see King Charles tomorrow and he’s been a friend of mine for a long time — and everybody respects him. I love it. I love Turnberry. I love Aberdeen. I have a lot of things here that — they warm my heart, I want to tell you. It’s a very special place. It’s a great place,” Trump told reporters ahead of the meeting.
