Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have shifted their base to London to seek a more private and peaceful life away from the relentless public attention they faced in India, revealed Dr Sriram Nene, husband of Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit.

In a YouTube conversation with content creator Ranveer Allahbadia, Dr Nene shared insights into the celebrity couple’s decision, recalling a candid conversation he had with Anushka. “They were thinking about moving to London because they can’t enjoy their success here. Anything they do attracts attention,” he said, empathizing with the couple’s struggles with constant media scrutiny.

Dr Nene also expressed admiration for Virat Kohli, calling him “a decent human being,” and pointed out how public figures often face isolation despite their fame.

While the couple has opted for a more low-key life abroad to ensure normalcy for their family, Kohli continues to make waves on the cricket field. In IPL 2025, he recently shattered records at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, hitting his 26th half-century at a single venue — a world record in T20 cricket.

His impressive 42-ball 70 not only powered Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a crucial victory over Rajasthan Royals but also pushed him to second place in the Orange Cap race. Kohli also surpassed Chris Gayle’s record for the most fifty-plus scores in T20s, proving that even as he prioritizes a quieter personal life, his passion for the game remains undiminished.
