Cricketer Suryakumar Yadav and his wife Devisha Shetty purchased two luxury apartments in Mumbai this month — spending a total of Rs 21.11 crore. The couple currently reside in a luxury apartment within the same suburb of Mumbai.
According to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards, they bought two apartments on consecutive floors with a combined carpet area of 4,222.7 sq. ft. The luxury flats include six designated car parking spaces. The two properties were registered on March 21 — with Yadav and his wife paying a stamp duty of Rs 1.26 crore and a registration fee of Rs 30,000.
The luxurious apartments are currently under construction in the Chembur area of the city. Details shared on the property website indicate a starting price of Rs 6.66 crore for the 3 BHK residences. Meanwhile 4BHK apartments within Godrej Sky Terraces come with a minimum price tag of Rs 9 crore. The property listing also promises a “bungalow-like vibe with sprawling backyards and inviting living spaces” with possession scheduled for June 2029.
Godrej Sky Terraces spans an area of 1.05 acres with 55 luxury apartments up for sale. According to details outlined on the property website, it features a single high-rise tower with a G+B+24 floor structure.
Several prominent cricketers including Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw and Yashasvi Jaiswal have purchased expensive properties in Mumbai over the past few years. Earlier in February, real estate consultant Square Yards reported that former cricketer Zaheer Khan had purchased a 2,600 sq ft luxury apartment with his wife and her brother. The luxurious property in Lower Parel was purchased for Rs 11 crore and incurred a stamp duty payment of Rs 66 lakh.
Meanwhile Team India captain Rohit Sharma — who also plays for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League — recently rented out his property in the Lower Parel area for Rs 2.6 lakh per month. The apartment within Lodha Marquise – The Park reportedly spans a carpet area of 1,298 sq ft and includes two car parking spaces.
