YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, has posted an apology video of one minute for his inappropriate comments on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent, after receiving significant backlash.

The controversy started when Allahbadia asked a contestant an uncomfortable and inappropriate question: whether they would prefer to watch their parents have sex for the rest of their life or join them once to end it. The question quickly sparked outrage on social media.

In the video, Allahbadia said, “I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s Got Latent. I’m sorry.” He admitted his comment was not only inappropriate but also not funny, saying, “Comedy is not my forte. I’m just here to say sorry. This is not how I want to use my platform.”

He acknowledged the backlash and stated, “I personally had a lapse in judgment. It was not cool on my part.” He also emphasized that he takes the responsibility of his platform seriously, especially as his podcast is watched by people of all ages. “Family is the last thing I would ever disrespect,” he added.

Allahbadia further assured his followers that he had asked the makers of India’s Got Latent to remove the “insensitive sections” of the episode. “All I can say in the end is sorry, I hope you can forgive me as a human being,” he concluded.

The controversy arose after Allahbadia appeared as a judge on the show alongside Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid). The judges typically roast contestants to evaluate their improv skills, but Allahbadia’s question shocked both the contestant and Raina, who responded with “What the f***?”

The incident led to widespread criticism of the show, which has faced prior backlash for its controversial content, including misogynistic and insensitive remarks. A complaint has also been filed against Allahbadia, Mukhija, Raina, and the organizers of the show for allegedly using abusive language.
