A gut-wrenching video of a mother desperately trying to protect her child after the ill-fated Air India flight crashed in Ahmedabad has surfaced on social media platforms and is leaving people emotional. The London-Ahmedabad Air India flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, crashed moments after it took off from runway 23. Of the 242 people on board, only one survived, making it one of the deadliest aviation disasters in history. The tragedy also claimed the lives of several local residents and MBBS students.

The video opens to show the helpless mother named Sita Patni running frantically on the road, apparently asking for help from others, who were also running away from the crash site, to save her son.

As the video progresses, one can see flames and thick black smoke coming out of the crash site. As she runs and pleads for help, an auto and a bus can also be seen standing a few feet away from the crash site.

A car can also be seen approaching from the opposite direction, possibly trying to escape the chaos.

According to several media reports, Patni was with her son when the plane crashed in the Meghani area of Ahmedabad. Her son can be seen caught in the blaze and could not be saved. While desperately trying to rescue her son, she sustained severe burns.

The Air India flight in Ahmedabad was seen veering over a building just moments after take-off, reportedly after losing thrust. It then crashed into one of the nearby structures. Moments before the crash, the pilot issued a Mayday call to Air Traffic Control (ATC), but communication could not be established in time.

The flight departed at 1:38 pm with 242 people on board. Among them were 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian citizen.
