Billionaire Jeff Bezos is set to the tie the knot with his fiancé, Lauren Sanchez in the Venetian Lagoon this summer. Sparing no leaf unturned for luxury, the couple is reportedly getting married in the biggest masted yacht ever built, Koru for $500 million as per the Daily Mail. As it set to take place in June, the invites have reportedly been rolled out with all the who’s who on the list. From Bill Gates to Katy Perry, this ceremony has already been titled the “wedding of the century.”
Engaged in May 2023, the couple made their relationship official in 2019 as Lauren Sanchez famously said that she “kind of blacked out” when the world’s second richest man (net worth $226 billion) put a $2.5 million ring on her finger. He proposed on the same yacht, Koru after the five-year relationship. However, the Amazon Chairman, according to the Daily Mail, might be using the mega yacht only as a water taxi in Venice since the 415 feet long yacht will cause hinderance in the Grand Canal.
The couple has also selected Venice’s best hotels, The Gritti Palace and Aman Venice for the four day affair whose rooms start at $3,200 per night. The bride-to-be who is believed to be flying to space aboard Bezos’ rocket has reportedly chosen an Oscar de la Renta dress on the advice of Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue.

As per TMZ reports, several billionaires including Bill Gates are invited to the lavish affair. Actor-producer Leonardo diCaprio and soap-star, Eva Longoria, singer, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are also on list. Being close friend with US President Trump, his daughter, Ivanka has also been invited to the Venetian affair. While none of the guests have confirmed their presence, businesswomen, Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner along with Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King and Jewel are also potential attendees according to The Sun.
As a part of the pre-wedding gift, Jeff Bezos will fly his fiancé to space in an all-women crew. She will be honoured to lead a team of explorers on a mission that will “change the perspective of Earth.” This is said to empower them to “share their own stories, and create a lasting impact that will inspire generations to come,” the rocket company said in a statement.
