The Coldplay couple saga is far from over!
The disgraced Astonomer HR honcho Kristin Cabot’s husband, Andrew Cabot made a shocking claim about their relationship as they proceed for divorce battle.
What did Kristin Cabot’s husband reveal?
The 61-year-old rum tycoon, who runs New England’s Privateer Rum, hit back at rumours with a stunning revelation through his spokesperson. According to him, Kristin and Andrew were already separated before the Coldplay fiasco.
“They had split weeks earlier,” the spokesperson told People. “Their divorce was in motion long before the concert.” Andrew now wants the frenzy to end so his family can retreat into the privacy they’ve “always valued.”
But Kristin wasted no time making things official. Just weeks after the world watched her awkward stadium moment with her boss Byron, the 52-year-old filed for divorce on August 13 in New Hampshire.
This is her second divorce after she split with Kenneth Thornby in 2022, with whom she shares a child.
Who is Andrew Cabot?
Andrew is the heir to one of New England’s oldest fortunes. The Cabot name is legendary, with roots in rum-making stretching back generations.
A New York Times profile once pegged the family wealth at $200 million in the 1970s, worth an eye-popping $15.4 billion today.
Earlier this year, he and Kristin even bought a $2.2 million seaside home before their marriage imploded.
During Coldplay’s concert at the Gillette Stadium, while Chris Martin was singing “Fix You,” Kristin and Byron were blasted onto the big screen in the middle of a kiss-cam bit.
Instead of leaning in, Byron bolted out of frame while Kristin froze in horror, leaving 55,000 fans utterly confused.
Chris Martin didn’t even hesitate and said on the mic, “Look at these two,” Martin said at first… then backtracked with the now-iconic quip: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
