While fans defended Virat Kohli’s move to London for this reason of misinterpretation of clips, some were concerned whether their is truly in trouble because of a like.
One user posted, “If this couple breaks up, I am never getting married,” while another commented, “Another alimony loading.”Others, however, offered more balanced perspectives. One user noted, “Aur lagwao nazar,” referencing the couple’s constant presence in the public eye. Another added, “I mean husband and wives can have arguments and still have a healthy relationship.”

Social media was quick to notice a like from Virat Kohli under TV actress’ Avneet Kaur’s fanpage. This spread like wild fire among gossip columns and subreddits. Netizens were fully invested as to why he liked that picture. Shortly afterwards, the cricket posted a story on his social media account clarifying the like. His statement read, “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding.”
After this post, fans commented that the story “made it much worse for him”. Some speculated as to why the post was made and claimed that it was because of the pressure from media houses and exaggerated claims of “cheating” made online. As many fans are hopeful that these are harmless claims, the viral video surely rekindled the rumours. To put an interesting spin on things, it was been reported that Avneet Kaur gained a million followers and multiple brand deals after the controversy went viral among netizens.
