After a digital spat erupted between Patanjali founder Baba Ramdev and tech millionaire and longevity influencer Bryan Johnson earlier this week. The clash began after Johnson called out Ramdev’s bold anti-aging claims which prompted Ramdev to apparently block him on X. However, Baba Ramdev now seems to have moved on from it as he has invited Johnson to visit Haridwar’ Patanjali Yog Gram, stressing India’s yoga, ayurveda and natural healing practices as the foundation for true-anti-aging.
In a post on X, Ramdev shared a video highlighting Haridwar’s Air Quality Index (AQI), urging Johnson to explore Indian wellness traditions with a “neutral and scientific viewpoint”.
‘’The scientific approach to anti-aging is rooted in yoga, Ayurveda and nature,’’ Ramdev wrote, offering Johnson a chance to tie up on a podcast discussing real anti-aging solutions supported by scientific proof.
Johnson also responded positively and expressed his interest in visiting India, again. “Thank you for the kind invitation. I would love to visit you and your wonderful country and explore the science of health,” he replied.
“Dear Mr Johnson, Thank you for accepting our invitation. We look forward to meeting you soon and working together to advance evidence-based initiatives that will encourage healthy living and anti-aging solutions,” Ramdev responded.
Earlier on Tuesday, Johnson said that Ramdev had blocked him from his X account after he commented on Ramdev’s post promoting Patanjali products. “I replied with this comment and he hid it and blocked me: Air quality in Haridwar right now is PM2.5 36 ug/m3 which is equal to smoking 1.6 cigarettes a day. This raises risks of heart disease by 40-50%, lung cancer by 3x, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and early death (5-7 years lost),” Johnson said in a post on X.
Ramdev had uploaded a video that shows him running next to a horse.
Sharing the video, Ramdev wrote, “If you want to run like a horse, build strong immunity, and boost anti-ageing, consume Swarna Shilajit and Immunogrit Gold.” Both products are part of Patanjali, the company he co-founded with Balkrishna in 2006.
Johnson’s concerns regarding air pollution in India are not new as he was recently in news for leaving Nikhil Kamath’s podcast abruptly because of air quality issues.
