He jokingly said the 28-year-old top order batsman is creating challenges for Indian diplomacy by heaping humiliations on countries. Mr. Mahindra said that if Virat Kohli and team India will keep on embarrassing teams like this, it may create serious challenges for International Diplomacy. He posted a tweet saying, “Kohli & Co creating serious challenges for our International Diplomacy. 1st they humiliate England & now on course to embarrass Bangladesh.”
During his knock against Bangladesh, Virat Kohli became first batsman in the history of Test cricket to score double centuries in four consecutive Test series. His 246-ball knock included 24 fours. Kohli dominated the bowlers and at no stage looked uncomfortable.
Before this, he had scored a double century against England, New Zealand and West Indies each. India went on to win all those series and remained unbeaten in Tests in 2016.
