Things are not going well for the Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz who after being ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy due to an injury, was now put for sale on the e-commerce website eBay. Riaz, who is one of Pakistan’s best fast bowlers was put for sale by an Australian whose profile has the name mrdenn1s, according to an NDTV report. The seller looked frustrated because of Wahab Riaz’s failure to win matches for Pakistan and put it as the reason on the website. The brief description on the website read as:
“WHAB RIAZ – I don’t need him anymore. Some wear and tear. Hairy. Bought Wahab in 2008 hoping he could win matches for Pakistan. He can intimidate Shane Watson but can’t get them out.” Even though the ad was removed from the website, it had already got around 50 bids by then and one of the users was even ready to pay 610 Australian dollars for Riaz.

Wahab got injured in Pakistan’s first Champions Trophy match against India where he conceded 87 runs from 8.4 overs. Pakistan lost that match by 124 runs and Wahab was replaced in the squad by Junaid Khan. However, since then Pakistan has made a spirited comeback in the tournament. It went on to defeat South Africa, Sri Lanka and hosts England to enter the final of the tournament.
If India beat Bangladesh in the second semi-final of the Champions Trophy, then fans will get to witness an India-Pakistan final on Sunday.
