It was a total spinners’ show at Mullanpur Stadium as R Sai Kishore emerged as the standout performer with the Gujarat Titans posting their fourth victory in the Tata IPL 2024 IPL by defeating the Punjab Kings by three wickets on Sunday. Alongside Rashid Khan (1/15) and Noor Ahmed (2/20), Sai Kishore (4/33) showcased his skills, exploiting the vulnerabilities of the Punjab Kings’ batting lineup to dismiss them for a below-par total of 142. Between them, the GT bolwers picked up seven wickets and bundled Punajb for a sub-par total.

Despite a valiant effort from Liam Livingstone, who contributed with both leg-break and off-spin to claim two crucial wickets during the middle overs, the Punjab Kings struggled to find support from fellow spinner Harpreet Brar. Brar endured a tough outing, conceding 35 runs in his four overs during a low-scoring encounter.

With 42 runs needed off 30 balls, the Gujarat Titans remained composed and secured a comfortable victory in the 19.1 overs, thanks to a crucial cameo from Rahul Tewatia, who remained unbeaten on 36 runs off just 16 balls, alleviating the pressure and guiding his team to success.
