IPL Auction 2025 Players List GT: In a major move during the IPL 2025 Auction in Jeddah on Sunday, Gujarat Titans made a bold bid for English wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler, securing him for Rs 15.75 crores. Alongside Buttler, the franchise made significant additions to their squad, bringing in pacers Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada for Rs 12.25 crores and Rs 10.75 crores, respectively. In a bid to strengthen their bowling attack, Gujarat Titans acquired Prasidh Krishna for Rs 9.5 crore. Other key signings included Mahipal Lomror for Rs 1.7 crore, Kumar Kushagra for Rs 65 lakhs, Anuj Rawat for Rs 30 lakhs, and Nishant Sindhu for Rs 30 lakhs.
GT’s assistant coach, Parthiv Patel, expressed his excitement about Buttler’s arrival, emphasising his versatility and the value he would bring to the team, especially in supporting captain Shubman Gill. Patel said that the team was thrilled to have Buttle on board as he can keep wickets, bat anywhere and bring in a lot of experience. He said that Buttle would be a greats asset for Shubman’s batting.
GT’s Director of Cricket, Vikram Solanki, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s progress, noting that they are pleased with the squad they’ve assembled so far. While speaking to ESPN crickingo, Solani highlighted that they have followed their strategy of focusing on key players, but acknowledged that there is still work to be done. Solanki emphasisedd that while the team is coming together well, they will need to make strategic decisions to fill the remaining slots, especially with many strong players still available in the upcoming rounds.
