The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made an announcement today about the rescheduling of two Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 matches. The postponed matches are between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) and between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC).

Kolkata Knight Riders’ home IPL game against Rajasthan Royals was rescheduled to April 16, and the Gujarat Titans-Delhi Capitals fixture in Ahmedabad was also rescheduled. However, BCCI did not give any reason for the reschedule of dates.

Issues faced

The KKR-RR tie in the 2024 Indian Premier League was expected to be rescheduled due to Ram Navami, however no reasons were specified by the board. “The fixture between Kolkata Knight Riders & Rajasthan Royals, which was earlier scheduled to take place on April 17, 2024 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata will now be played a day prior on April 16, 2024.”

“The Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad was earlier scheduled to host the match between Gujarat Titans & Delhi Capitals on April 16, 2024. The fixture will now be played on April 17, 2024,” the BCCI explained. Suggestions were also stated that the match could be moved to April 16 or delayed by 24 hours to April 18. Furthermore, KKR is in Visakhapatnam for a game against Delhi Capitals to be held on Wednesday.
