Alright so this is going to be interesting. A few more tight overs and the pressure will be on the Aussies to score more and that might translate into a few more quick wickets. In his debut in the last ODI in Perth, Nitish Reddy did not have many overs to play. However, Reddy showed his game. He hit two sixers in the last over at Perth. He is in now and has about 8 overs to play. We will see if he steps up to the occasion today with Axar and give India the much-needed push on the scoreboard. IND 217/6 (43)

Axar Patel is playing an innings that has sped up the score for the Indian camp. Washington Sundar was playing a good support but that could not last long. This is the third wicket from Bartlett. There’s a sudden lull in the Indian innings — and not the kind they would have wanted. Losing two set batters in quick succession has clearly dented the rhythm. The surface hasn’t made things any easier either; new batters are finding it tricky to settle in and read the conditions. Axar starts Starc over with a boundary. He is playing the pacer well. Good start to Zampa’s over. KL Rahul starts with a boundary. But he could not sustain that. Zampa’s ‘flipper’ took him down on the very next delivery. The middle order of India is not putting up a very good fight. With the current run rate, a target of 240 can be expected. IND 177/5 (37)

Hazlewood has been consistent with his length and the batters facing him do not have an answer to him. The pacer is creating several opportunities to take down the batters. No success there but he has kept the scoreboard from going too fast. IND 170/4 (36)
