India’s semi-final victory over Australia in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 sparked a nationwide celebration online, with players and fans singling out Jemimah Rodrigues for her unbeaten 127-run masterclass that guided India to the highest successful chase in tournament history.

Joining the celebration, Virat Kohli expressed his views on X, “What a victory by our team over a mighty opponent like Australia. A great chase by the girls and a standout performance by Jemimah in a big game. A true display of resilience and belief. Well done, Team India!’”

Former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh called it a victory that ‘’goes beyond numbers on a scoreboard’’, he hailed Harmanpreet Kaur’s calm and Rodrigues’s focus.
