Did former England cricketer Jonathan Trott just reveal Indian star athlete Virat Kohli‘s London residential address? It seems like it. The ex-batter’s bombshell admission made during a post-match discussion went viral on the Internet after Indian unlocked a first for an Asian team following their historic win against England at the iconic venue Edgbaston on July 6.

The bittersweet victory came hot on the heels of beloved players Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin’s test retirement. And so, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru stalwart undoubtedly became a subject of Trott’s remarks during his post-match confessions on Sony Sports Network.

Kohli, himself, took to his social media profile to cheer on his fellow Indian teammates. “Fearless and kept pushing England to the wall. Brilliantly led by Shubman with the bat and in the field, and impactful performances from everyone. Special mention to Siraj and Akash for the way they bowled on this pitch,” he posted after the country’s win by 336 runs.

England’s Jonathan Trott gives away Virat Kohli’s London address

“Doesn’t he live in St John’s Wood or nearby? Can he not be persuaded to come back?” Trott said. Alluding to Virat’s post, the English player couldn’t help but wonder if the 36-year-old player was missing the dressing room and the exuberant thrilling vibe therein.

“…no wonder he misses that dressing room feeling. I sometimes wonder how quickly that feeling comes back after you give up the game,” he added.

A prior report by The Telegraph had divulged that Kohli lives in Notting Hill, with St John’s Wood being just 2.5 miles away.

Although Trott’s freudian spill allowed for Kohli’s name to occupy lighthearted headlines, the much-loved athlete’s last public appearance was shrouded in controversy in light of the troublesome aftermath of RCB’s IPL victory parade stampede.

Right after the conclusion of the 2025 IPL series, the record-smashing batsman took off for the United Kingdom, where he is now living with his family.
