Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday unveiled the list of 20 cities that were selected in the first batch to be developed as ‘smart cities. While announcing the winners, Naidu said smart cities need to be inclusive, sustainable and effective engines of growth, fulfilling the aspiration of Young India.
He said, “I am grateful to PM Narendra Modi for his special interest in resolving urban development issues and overcoming challenges.”
