Haryana government will provide maize and bajra at the rate of Re one per kilogram to poor people in this winter season, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said here today.

Also, he said, western Haryana would be developed as a textile hub where maximum employment opportunities would be generated for youth and ensure textile export in the upcoming new industrial policy.

Addressing a public meeting at Indri near Karnal, Khattar said that every family in the state would get a house in next five year.

“The State government was formulating a scheme in this direction so that affordable houses could be provided to all families in small or big towns. Besides, financial assistance would also be given for the same,” he said.

Khattar said State government was working on the modalities to meet the basic requirement of food, shelter and clothing of all people besides their education, health care and respect.

“Similarly, education system, which remained neglected during last 10 years, would be reinforced by way of improving it at all levels and appointing qualified teachers. Previous government used to give grace marks to improve results. This practice would not be followed in future. The Government has cancelled the summer vacation of teachers and they have been asked to improve results..,” he said.

Referring to the healthcare needs, the Chief Minister said adequate arrangements would be made in this direction.

He said, the government would open a medical college in every district so that 2000 doctors could pass out in a year
Khattar said the upcoming new Industrial policy would be launched which will focus on development of micro, small and medium industries.

The new policy would generate maximum employment opportunities, also loan upto Rs one crore would be given without guarantee to small entrepreneurs, he said.
