In a major reform since independence the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday passed the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Constitutional Amendment Bill. After the passage of the GST Bill the Rajya Sabha was flooded with tweets from all corners. Shah Rukh Khan took to twitter and said that GST Bill passage in Rajya Sabha is an advancement of the country.
In his tweet the King Khan of Bollywood congratulated the country on this. “Notwithstanding my limited knowledge of Financial stuff ,the GST Bill is an awesome advancement for our country’s potential. Congrats to us”, tweeted Shah Rukh Khan on his twitter account.

In the historic landmark decision, the legislation was approved by the Rajya Sabha with 203 votes in favour and none against, in the 243 member House. The GST Bill was earlier passed in Lok Sabha. The exact date of the tax will be decided in the days to come.
