Wonderla Holidays shares surged as much as 10 per cent on Tuesday after the amusement park operator announced that they are looking to officially inaugurate the hi-tech amusement park Hyderabad in the third week of April.

However, the share price of Wonderla Holidays closed 5.66 per cent up at Rs 376.35. The scrip opened at Rs 375 and touched a high and low of Rs 390.50 and Rs 356, respectively. Sensex closed 0.18 per cent up at 25,330.

Wonderla Hyderabad is the third amusement park of the company and set up with an investment of Rs 250 crore. It has been operating parks in Bangalore and Kochi for over a decade.

Arun K Chittilappilly, MD, Wonderla Holidays in a release said, “The construction activities are mostly completed and we are in the process of securing all the requisite permissions which should come through in the next weeks. 2 years back almost, we went public to raise money to build this park.”

Since listing, the share price of Wonderla Holidays surged 126 per cent to Rs 356.20 till March 21.
