Tata Motors is preparing to go full tilt in the electric vehicle (EV) space to claw back lost market share as rivals turn up the heat with an aggressive pipeline of products spread over the next few years. Vodafone Idea
Vodafone Idea’s recently announced partnership with AST SpaceMobile to deliver satellite-based direct-to-mobile (D2M) connectivity is likely to face regulatory and policy hurdles, making immediate rollout of the service highly unlikely. According to analysts, unless the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) initiate a separate consultation process to define spectrum sharing and leasing norms for hybrid satellite-terrestrial networks, the agreement will remain largely aspirational.
MakeMyTrip
MakeMyTrip has raised $3.1 billion through equity and debt, according to Morgan Stanley, the company’s banker. This is the largest ever fundraise by a listed new-age Indian company, surpassing Paytm which had raised around $2.4 billion through its IPO in 2021. This is also the largest concurrent offering of equity follow-on and convertible notes since 2022 in the Asia-Pacific region.
Sun TV Network
Sun TV Network issued a strong rebuttal on Friday following reports of a legal dispute initiated by Dayanidhi Maran, Lok Sabha MP and former Union minister, against his elder brother and company promoter, Kalanithi Maran. The broadcaster, in a regulatory filing, said that the separation of business interests between the brothers took place over two decades ago and was carried out in accordance with all legal requirements.

Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) has secured the rights to manufacture the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) after emerging as the top bidder in a Rs 511 crore tender, the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) said on Friday.
Bharat Electronics
Bharat Electronics (BEL) has bagged fresh orders worth Rs 585 crore since its previous disclosure on June 5. The latest orders encompass a wide range of systems, including fire control and sighting systems for missiles, communication equipment, jammers, critical spares, and associated services.
Waaree Renewable Technologies
Waaree Renewable Technologies (WRTL) said the value of its existing solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order has been revised upward by Rs 246.92 crore to Rs 1,480.40 crore.
Bank of India
Bank of India’s board of directors will consider a proposal to raise funds through the issuance of long-term infrastructure bonds at a meeting scheduled for June 26, 2025. Bank of India also announced plans to raise up to Rs 5,000 crore during the financial year 2025-26 through the issuance of Basel-III compliant bonds. Previously in FY24-25, the lender raised Rs 2,690 crore through a 10‑year infrastructure bond at a 7.50% coupon, oversubscribed nearly sixfold.
