Coal India

Coal India has set its asset monetisation target for the current financial year at Rs 6,264 crore, its chairman and managing director, PM Prasad, told FE. In FY25, the company’s actual monetisation stood at nearly Rs 8,462 crore. “Award of six mine developer and operator projects accounted for monetisation of Rs 7,128 crore in FY25, while seven abandoned and discontinued mines were monetised at a value of Rs 830 crore and one washery on build-own-operate fetched Rs 504 crore,” Prasad said.

Gensol Engineering

The Ahmedabad bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Wednesday reserved its order on two pleas by Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) against Gensol Engineering (GEL) and its subsidiary, Gensol EV Lease (GEVL).

Hindustan Copper

Hindustan Copper (HCL) announced plans to invest approximately Rs 2,000 crore over the next 5-6 years. The state-run copper producer aims to expand its mine capacity from the current four million tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 12.20 MTPA by FY31. HCL is looking to acquire copper deposits both domestically and internationally by participating in upcoming mineral auctions.

NIIT

ICICI Bank has executed a share purchase agreement with NIIT Ltd. and NIIT Institute of Finance Banking and Insurance Training Ltd (NIIT-IFBI) on Wednesday for the sale of its entire 18.8% stake in NIIT-IFBI.

City Union Bank

City Union Bank Ltd’s board said it has approved raising Rs 500 crore through the qualified institutional placement (QIP) route, with final approval set for the annual general meeting on August 13

Maruti Suzuki

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Principal Bench in New Delhi approved the first motion application for the amalgamation of Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary, into Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. on June 10, 2025.

Jio Financial Services

Jio Financial Services on Wednesday announced that its 50:50 joint venture (JV) with BlackRock, Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers Pvt Ltd has secured a certificate of registration from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to act as an investment adviser.

Sterlite Technologies

Sterlite Technologies, in a consortium with Dilip Buildcon, bagged an order worth Rs 2,631.14 crore from BSNL. The project is for designing, supplying, constructing, installing, upgrading, operating and maintaining the middle-mile network under BharatNet for the telecom circles in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
