Reliance Industries shares down ahead of Q1 earnings

Reliance Industries shares closed 1.72 per cent down on BSE. On NSE, the shares ended 1.94 per cent down.

A strong result announcement by Reliance Industries, Infosys and TCS also helped the cause. While low crude oil prices benefitted RIL that witnessed a sharp rise in its gross refining margin during the quarter, Infosys and TCS gained from a weakening rupee against the dollar. (Reuters)

Reliance Industries shares were trading in the negative terrain on Friday ahead of the company announcing its first quarterly results.

The company shares closed 1.97 per cent down on BSE. On NSE, the shares ended 1.94 per cent down.

RIL stocks had on Thursday hit new 52-week high of Rs 1,067 on the BSE.

The BSE Sensex closed 258.53 points down at 28,112.31. NSE Nifty ended 68.25 points down to settle at 8,521.55.
