US trading firm Jane Street has filed a case with Securities Appellate Tribunal against market regulator SEBI for its market manipulation accusations, Reuters reported.

The appeal made on Wednesday requests that SAT instruct SEBI to provide Jane Street with the missing materials, Reuters reported. “These documents are undeniably relevant,” the firm said in the court filing. According to the report, the firm has said that SEBI is not providing documents and data to back its allegations of market manipulation.

Earlier in July, SEBI temporarily barred Jane Street from trading in the local market on allegations that it had indulged in manipulation of India’s key indexes. Jane Street has missed the deadline of 21 days to respond to SEBI’s allegations.
