In a year stocks fared badly, debt schemes of mutual funds saw inflows of Rs 32,606 crore in 2015-2016, a jump of 46% over the previous year, reports Chirag Madia in Mumbai. Meanwhile, equity schemes attracted net inflows of Rs 74,024 crore, a rise of of 4.21%. The sharply higher flows into fixed income schemes drove up total inflows into MFs to R1,34,180 crore, up 30% year-on-year (y-o-y).
