Petrol, Diesel Price Today 2 October 2024: Oil prices were up by nearly 4% after Iran launched a series of ballistic missiles at Israel in response to Israel’s operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon. As per the latest report, brent crude futures increased by $2.51 or 3.5 % at $74.21 a barrel whereas, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was hiked by $2.41 or 3.5% at $ 70.58.

On Tuesday, the price of jet fuel (ATF) was slashed by 6.3%, recording the lowest level in 2024. On the contrary, commercial LPG which is utilized in restaurants and hotels was hiked by Rs 48.5 per 19-kg cylinder. The reason behind the change has been cited because of fluctuation in the prices of international oil. Trading is closed today (October 2) in India, China and Taiwan.
