Shares of CDSL rose 6% to hit a fresh 52-week high of Rs 2,594.85 as the company issued bonus shares with a 1:1 ratio. The company issued 10,45,00,000 equity shares of Rs 10 face value each as bonus shares. Post the issuance, the equity shares will amount to a share capital of Rs 209 crore.

On July 02, the company recommended issuing bonus shares to the shareholders in a ratio of 1:1, according to an exchange filing. 

Also, the company will pay out a dividend of Rs 19 per equity share for which the record date will be August 16, 2024. 

CDSL’s performance in Q1

In Q1 FY25, the company’s net profit rose 82% in year to Rs 134.20 crore in comparison to Rs 73.57 crore it reported in the same period a year ago. 

The company’s revenue from operations jumped 72% on year to Rs 257.38 crore in Q1 FY25, against Rs 149.68 it posted in the corresponding period previous fiscal.

Shares of CDSL have risen 6.6% in the last five days and a bit more than 10% in the past one month. The stock has given a return of 30% in the past six months. To talk about the long-term, the share has risen 1,230% in the last five years. 

To give a comparison, the benchmark index, Nifty 50 has risen 0.55% in the last five days. However, it has fallen 0.34% in the past one month. The stock has risen 12% in the last six months and more than 119% in the past five years.
