Cardiff could be home to Wales’ first trampoline park, with plans for more than 100 trampolines in a building in Llanishen. Air Trampoline Park is aiming to launch this spring and will feature an indoor arena style “jumping court” concept inside a 22,000 sq ft high- ceilinged building.
The court will be made up of 100 interconnected trampolines and the park will also offer fitness classes, birthday parties and games like dodgeball.
Lisa Evans, head of marketing for the project, said, “Air Trampoline Park will be a playground for people of all ages with over 100 interconnecting trampolines to bounce on. We will provide a safe space for people to ‘open jump’, exercise in our fitness classes, compete at dodgeball or have an amazing party. So far the reaction on social media has been staggering.”
The park will feature bespoke trampolines from a Welsh supplier as well as rebounding sides allowing jumpers to literally bounce off the walls.
A former Britvic drinks warehouse in Llanishen– on the Parc Ty Glas industrial estate, near Llanishen Leisure Centre– has been identified as the potential home for the park and a planning application has been submitted to Cardiff council seeking permission for a change of use at the property.
Evans said the facility would be open seven days a week and would create 19 jobs.
