The year 2025 will be bringing amazing sights in the sky, perfect for everyone who loves to stargaze. It will commence from January 2025 with the Quadrantid meteor shower. People of the West Coast of America will be able to have the best view, and are likely to see 120 meteors per hour as they will illuminate the sky during night and early morning hours, Space.com reported.
On January 9, the moon will move in front of Pleiades Star Cluster, which is a group of bright stars known as ‘’Seven Sisters.’’ This special celestial event will again appear in February and July, each time will be a sight to behold for those who will witness this through small telescopes and binoculars.
As winter will transform into spring, Venus will come into focus. It was so bright in January and February that it could cast shadows. By April, Venus shifted to the morning sky, and will shine almost like a thin crescent just before sunrise.
According to the report, from March 13-14 a total lunar eclipse will occur, during which the moon will become red in colour as it will pass through the Earth’s shadow. This stunning event will be visible across the Americas. Millions of people will be able to watch this.
Later in March, Saturn will lose its famous rings. From Mach 23 to May 6 , the rings were positioned on the titled edge on to Earth. Thus, skywatchers won’t be able to see it through telescopes as it becomes almost invisible. In May, the rings will slowly come back and display the beauty of the space.
On March 29, the sky will get darkened in some parts of Africa, Greenland and Europe because of a partial solar eclipse. It won’t be a total eclipse but it will be a reflection of how the Sun, Earth and Moon align.
A Perseid meteor shower will occur in the summer of August, during this phase bright fireballs will brighten the night despite the moon’s radiance. Around the same period, Venus and Jupiter will appear very close to each other for consequently next moorings, the report further stated.
