Ananth Technologies Private Limited (ATL) has made history by successfully integrating two 400-kg satellites for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). This is the first time ISRO has awarded such a significant project to a private sector partner, marking a pivotal moment in India’s space industry.

The satellites were assembled, integrated, and tested (AIT) at ATL’s cutting-edge facility in Bengaluru’s KIADB Aerospace Park. The 10,000 square meter facility can handle the integration of up to four large satellites at once, positioning ATL as a leader in advanced space technology. The project, involving over 100 engineers and technicians, represents the most complex satellite integration undertaken by a private Indian company to date.

During the ceremony held on October 18, Mr. Shankaran, Director of ISRO’s U.R. Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), commended ATL’s work, calling the company’s efforts “a testament to their expertise and commitment to India’s space mission.” Dr. Subba Rao Pavuluri, Chairman of ATL, reflected on the achievement, saying, “This success underscores our vision for India’s space sector. We’ve been supporting ISRO since 2000, contributing to every major space program.”

Beyond satellite integration, ATL is expanding its reach. The company recently signed an MOU with Australia’s Space Machines Company to provide AIT services and continues to work on ISRO’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). To date, ATL has completed work on 10 PSLVs. Additionally, the company is active in producing solar panels for small satellites and delivering geospatial services for urban planning and natural resources management.

With growing demand for its expertise, ATL is set to play an even larger role in India’s space endeavors, highlighting the potential of public-private collaborations in boosting the nation’s space capabilities.
