Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, also known as Eid-e-Milad, Nabid, or Mawlid in colloquial Arabic, is an Islamic festival that marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. Celebrated in the Sufi and Barelvi traditions, it also commemorates the day of the Prophet’s passing. The festival is observed on the 12th day of Rabi’ al-Awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar. This year, Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated from the evening of September 15 to September 16, 2024.
