Vidaamuyarchi, the much-awaited Tamil film directed by Magizh Thirumeni and starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, premiered in theatres on Thursday. On Day 5 (Monday), Vidaamuyarchi’s earnings plummeted to Rs 2.47 crore as per the latest data. The India net collection touched Rs 64.72 Cr so far.
According to Industry tracker Sacnilk, On Day 1, the film earned Rs 26 crore, with the Tamil version contributing Rs 25.5 crore and the Telugu version Rs 0.5 crore. On Day 2, the collection dropped significantly by 60.58 per cent, earning Rs 10.25 crore. However, on Day 3, there was a recovery with a 31.71 per cent increase to Rs 13.5 crore, driven primarily by the Tamil version. Day 4 saw a slight decline of 7.41 per cent with Rs 12.5 crore.
The film follows the gripping journey of the protagonist, who faces life-threatening challenges in a relentless quest to save his loved one. With its high-stakes action and emotional tension, Vidaamuyarchi has kept audiences on the edge of their seats.
