Thandel, a romantic action thriller starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, hit theatres on Friday. The film had a decent opening at the box office, earning Rs 11.5 crore on its first day. By Day 3 (Sunday), the film had earned Rs 5.58 crore, bringing the net India collection to Rs 29.72 crore.

According to Industry tracker Sacnilk, the film made Rs 11.5 crore on Day 1 (Friday), with Rs 11.3 crore from Telugu, Rs 0.12 crore from Hindi, and Rs 0.08 crore from Tamil. On Day 2 (Saturday), it saw a 9.91% increase, earning Rs 12.64 crore, entirely from the Telugu version. 

Raju (Chaitanya) and his beloved Satya (Pallavi) are childhood sweethearts with dreams of a future together. However, there’s a challenge—Raju is a fisherman from Matchilesam near Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, and spends nine months a year fishing off the coast of Gujarat. Despite the distance, they cherish rare phone calls filled with longing, a flag at the lighthouse marking his absence, and the precious moments they share when Raju is home. But a broken promise and a fishing trip gone wrong threaten to tear them apart.

Thandel features a talented cast led by Naga Chaitanya as Raju and Sai Pallavi as Satya. The film also stars Aadukalam Naren, Charandeep, Jabardast Mahesh, Prakash Belawadi as the Pakistan jailer, Rao Ramesh, Karunakaran, Babloo, and Prithivraj in pivotal roles.
