Indian actress Kajol, known for her screen presence, has rented her premium property in Mumbai’s Goregaon West area. According to reports, Kajol is set to receive a substantial monthly rent, beginning at Rs 6.9 lakh and totalling to Rs 8.6 crore over the course of nine years. The actress has recently been in the news for ‘Too Much with Kajol and Twinkle’, a celebrity talk show hosted by Kajol and Twinkle Khanna.
According to the property registration papers reviewed by Square Yards on the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website, the rent agreement was officially registered in November 2025. As per the documents, the property is located in Bharat Arize with a carpet area of 1,817 sq ft and one car parking. The deal included a stamp duty payment of Rs 5.61 lakh and an additional Rs 30,000 as registration charges.
Nine-year period of lease
As per the above report, the lease will run for nine years starting from November 2025. In the initial three years, the rent is fixed at Rs 6.9 lakh. However, the rent will increase by 15% after every three years. This will increase the rent to Rs 7.9 lakh for the first time and Rs 9.13 lakh for the second and final three years.
As per the above rental plan, Kajol will earn Rs 8.6 crore over a nine-year lease period. According to the documents reviewed by Square Yards, Kajol purchased this property in March 2025 for Rs 28.78 crore.
Reasons for good ROI
The continuous demand for the property is due to its strategic location places it close to major business and entertainment centres, including Andheri, Malad, and the Oshiwara District Centre (ODC). Goregaon West in Mumbai is an emerging, developing real estate hotspot, distinguished by its mix of residential and commercial properties.
This area has robust connectivity, facilitated by the Western Express Highway, Link Road, SV Road, and the efficient suburban railway network, with future expansion from new metro routes poised to further ease commuting.
