Loveyapa, hit the theatres on February 7, within the time relevant for Valentine’s Week. The film made its debut on the big screen starting at the box office on the recent Friday. 

Loveyapa made its debut with low numbers, according to Industry tracker Sacnilk, the film on its first day (Friday), earned Rs 1.15 crore. However, on Day 2 (Saturday), the collection saw a slight dip, with Rs 0.64 crore in earnings. The net India collection for the first two days stands at Rs 1.79 crore.

The film explores the complexities of modern relationships, particularly those shaped by phone conversations. It follows the story of Gaurav (played by Junaid Khan) and Baani (played by Khushi Kapoor), a couple whose bond is tested when Baani’s father (Ashutosh Rana) challenges them to exchange their phones and prove their love. As the couple confronts shocking revelations, including hidden messages and past relationships, their trust and communication are pushed to the breaking point.

The film is a remake of the 2022 Tamil hit Love Today and marks the big-screen debut of Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan, and Khushi Kapoor, daughter of the late Sridevi. Alongside the young leads, the film features a talented cast, including Ashutosh Rana, Kiku Sharda, Grusha Kapoor, Tanvika Parlikar, Devishi Madaan, and Nikhil Mehta.
