Breaking all records for the Malayali film industry, the Mohanlal starrer L2: Empuraan has made more than Rs 15 crore at the Kerala Box Office on its opening day with an overall collection of Rs 22 crore nationwide across all languages. The film shows a promising performance collecting nearly Rs 2 crore on its first Friday. With over 60% occupancy rate among the Malayali audiences, the majority of the film’s viewers were found to be in Kochi.

The Prithviraj Sukumaran film is expected to maintain the consistent performance on its second day with more than Rs 2 crore collections as per recent Sacnilk reports. Produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies, the L2 : Empuraan box office collection Day 2 has brough the total two day record to nearly Rs 24 crore.

Empuraan third part name revealed

In multiple social media posts, users posted clips of the L2: Empuraan which revealed the third part would be titled L3: The Beginning. Prithviraj-Mohanlal fans began to speculate whether there would be a fourth part as well however, the team maintained during the promotions, that the Lucifer series would be a trilogy.

The audience has received the film well but the occupancy rates remain just above 35% on its first Friday in Malayalam.With a strong opening and positive audience reception, L2: Empuraan continues its steady box office run, setting high expectations for the coming days.
