ICC World Cup 2023 semi-final: The ICC World Cup 2023 semi-final match was one star studded affair. The semi-final match between India and New Zealand was played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, Nov 15, 2023.
Multiple celebrities graced the venue with their presence and their pictures took rounds on social media.
Actress Anushka Sharma, the wife of the star performer Virat Kohli was present at the Wankhede Stadium to cheer up her husband. As the cricket star scored his 50th ODI century, the couple was seen blowing kisses to each other.
Other celebrity couples also graced the match venue like Siddharth Malhotra with his beloved Kiara Advani were seen seated beside former football star David Beckham. It was Beckham’s first visit to India as he is touring the country for a UNICEF program.
Actor Ranbir Kapoor was also present at the match seated alongside actor John Abraham. He also promoted his movie ‘Animal’ in the beginning and soon after was seen in the Indian Team jersey extending support.
Kabir Singh actor Shahid Kapoor cheered team India with smiles. He was seen with Saif Ali Khan’s brother-in-law Kunal Khemu. Shahid’s wife Mira Rajput was seen with him.
Madhuri Dixit was also spotted with her husband Dr Nene. Vicky Kaushal, whose Sam Bahadur is soon to be released was also spotted clapping and cheering for the Indian team.
Thalaivaa Rajinikanth did not miss the iconic match and was present at Wankhede with his family. Soundarya Rajinikanth shared some pictures from the stadium and wrote, “Let’s hope we go to the finals”.
How could the legendary cricket superstar Sachin Tendulkar miss the match! He gave Beckham a tour of the stadium and told the former footballer about the 2011 World Cup final.
Tendulkar was seen clapping and cheering for Virat Kohli as he broke Sachin’s record of 49 centuries in ODI matches. Kohli stands at 50 centuries in ODI matches.
