Among the Valentine’s week celebrations, Kieth Gomes’ film ‘Badass Ravikumar’ released this Friday. The Himesh Reshammiya starrer released alongside romance genre films like Loveyappa and Sanam Teri Kasam. A spin off the 2014 film “The XPose” it continues to outshine its contemporaries.

Welcoming mixed reviews and reactions, it reached nearly the Rs 3-crore mark on its first day. Experiencing a slight dip in the curve, the film collected just about Rs 2 crores on Saturday. The total collection stood at nearly 5 crores at the end of its two-day run with a collection of Rs 1.33 crores on Day 3 alone. This ticket price is averaged at Rs 200 across India. This musical action parody, a signature of Keith Gomes had more than 60% occupancy in the morning shows and 20.3% at night.

It must be noted that the heavy PR campaigns and appearances for the film Loveyappa strike great contrast with Himesh Reshammiya’s lack of promotions. Despite of this, Badass Ravikumar, has a higher net gross profit than Loveyappa. With classic actors like Prabhudeva, Johnny Lever and Sanjay Mishra in pivotal roles in the film, it has performed decently at the box office opening.

Apart from the attraction of an action-packed film, the fans of Himesh Reshammiya overshadow that appeal. Debut actors like Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor are still finding their fanbase in the film industry as their film struggles to retain an audience. The total has come to nearly Rs 6 crores on Day 3 for ‘Badass Ravikumar’ with a 8.4 IMDb rating.
