Shah Rukh Khan, often dubbed as the ‘king’ of Bollywood, has been under fire. Ever since the viral Udaipur wedding of billionaire Raju Mantena‘s daughter brought stars from across the world to dance on stage, the Internet has been divided. From debating on the overt display of wealth to questioning the very need for these millionaire stars to do paid performances, the netizens did not hold back their opinions.
A video from another such event resurfaced on the Internet. Headlined by the ‘King’ star, Shah Rukh Khan, is seen standing alongside a fan. However, she may not be an ordinary fan, as she requested that he recreate a signature action from a popular pan masala ad. While SRK tried to cover it up with his Delhi-boy charm, he joked that it might get him banned. “Mughje ban karwaogi [You’ll get me banned],” he quipped at his ardent fan.
‘Are you my fan or…?’
In this rather candid moment, SRK used his quirky wit to shut down the request. In his playful style he joked that once someone works with ‘gutkha wale’ they never let you live it down. He also reiterated that the product is banned and shouldn’t be repeated at weddings. He went on to tease the bride after her repeated requests and said, “Are you my fan or Vimal’s?”
‘Har baar jab krta hoon toh paise leta hoon…papa ko kehna dena [I charge money whenever I do it, tell your father]” joked Shah Rukh Khan as he refused to do the action on stage.
Forget about dancing, they were teasing Srk with Vimal and Jubaa kesari 😭

This humorous exchange was followed by a recent controversy involving actors like Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff. Headlining these advertisements for some time now, the stars found themselves in the middle of a legal battle after they were served notices alleging the promotion of misleading content. It accused SRK, Devgn, and Shroff of falsely implying that the endorsed product contains premium ingredients like saffron, which cost way more than a single packaging. The advertisement was labelled as deceptive, aimed at the younger segments of the market.
Questioning ‘King’ship
Such instances only led the netizens to question his long-standing label of ‘badshah’ of Bollywood. Referring to this meta moment from his son Aryan Khan’s series ‘Ba***ds of Bollywood‘, the megastar was trolled as the Internet wrote, “Ghante ka Badshah.”
On the other hand, fans rallied to his support and wrote, “Even after getting teased this way, SRK didn’t even let a fraction of his courtesy and decency move away and took that sportingly,” while others praised the bride. As per several reports the incident took place at a Delhi wedding.
